Overview Of Our Rooms At NellyBells Daycare

Baby Room (6 months –2 Years)

Our Baby Room is a gentle, nurturing space specially designed for our youngest learners. Key features include:

• Safe and Soothing Environment:

A calm, secure setting with soft lighting, cozy sleep areas (cots and mats), and comfortable changing stations. The room is thoughtfully organised to reduce overstimulation while meeting the sensory needs of babies.

• Individualised Care:

Each baby is supported by a Key Worker who provides one-to-one attention, ensuring that every child’s unique needs, whether physical, emotional, or developmental—are met.

• Age-Appropriate Play:

A range of sensory toys, soft play equipment, and musical instruments encourage exploration and early learning, all carefully chosen to promote fine motor skills and cognitive development.

• Focus on Wellbeing:

Daily routines include gentle activities that help regulate sleep and feeding schedules, with an emphasis on establishing secure attachments and building trust with caregivers.

Toddler Room (2–3 Years)

In our vibrant Toddler Room, children start to explore, interact, and develop more independence. This room is designed with both active play and early learning in mind:

• Dynamic Learning Environment:

The room features a balance of free play areas, creative learning corners, and interactive activities tailored to support growth in language, motor skills, and socialisation.

• Exploration and Independence:

Interactive displays, low-level furniture, and themed play areas encourage toddlers to explore their surroundings, make choices, and build early problem-solving skills.

• Structured Routines and Flexibility:

While a predictable routine provides stability, the room’s flexible design allows for child-led activities, helping toddlers develop self-confidence and a sense of responsibility for their own learning.

• Social Development:

Group activities, cooperative play, and teacher-guided interactions support the development of communication and social skills, preparing children for the next stage of their early education.

Preschool Room (3–5 Years)

Our Preschool Room is a vibrant and stimulating space that prepares children for their journey into formal education while celebrating creativity and independence:

• Learning Through Play:

With dedicated areas for literacy, numeracy, role play, and creative arts, the room is designed to spark curiosity and make learning fun. Resources are interactive and varied to suit different learning styles.

• Balanced Structure:

A blend of adult-led activities and child initiated play offers structure while promoting the child’s natural love for exploration. This balance ensures children develop the confidence and skills needed for school readiness.

• Inclusive Curriculum:

The room embraces the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, focusing on the seven areas of learning and development from communication and language to expressive arts and design while also celebrating each child’s individuality.

• Enhanced Social Interaction:

Cooperative projects, group discussions, and shared learning activities foster teamwork, improve communication skills, and enhance emotional resilience in a culturally diverse setting.

*This multi-room approach ensures that as children grow, their environment adapts to meet their evolving needs, whether they need the gentle reassurance of our Baby Room, the energetic exploration of our Toddler Room, or the stimulating, preparation focused experiences in our Preschool Room.
